All three of our Holiday performances were absolutely wonderful! Here are a few pictures. Enjoy!
read moreThank you so much to all 200 Stepper-ettes who participated in last night's performance at the new TD Ameritrade stadium. It was truly an amazing performance! The girls looked incredible as their smiles shone brightly and their costumes glittered under the stadium lights! Having a chance to meet Miss America was also an incredible experience for the girls (and boys!). A big thank you to all of the efforts of all of the parents. We know it took a lot to get your children to the studio, have them dressed with hair and make-up done, and pick them up late on a Sunday night. Your children did an amazing job and had so much fun at the same time!

read moreWe had an amazing time marching in the 2010 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! 3.5 million people lined the streets of Manhattan and 50 million people tuned in world wide to watch the floats, giant balloons, marching bands, and performance groups. We were so proud to be a part of the parade and the 2.8 miles seemed to be a short distance because of all of the excitement we felt! After the almost 3 mile march, we hit the stage in front of the iconic Macy's store for our 1 minute, nationally televised, performance. It was so exciting to perform live on NBC in front of millions of viewers!
read moreWe have had a wonderful experience in NYC thus far! Monday night was extremely exciting! We had a dress rehearsal in front of the Macy's store at 11:00p.m. After waiting two hours on the street for our turn to rehearse, we ran onto the "star" in front of Macy's and our music began playing loudly over the speakers. There we were...costumes glittering under the bright lights, television screens surrounding us, the producer yelling camera angles, our friends and family watching us...it was amazing!! There are really no words to explain the feeling we had as we practiced. It was soo much fun and very exciting! The producer himself let out a loud "Wow" after watching our first run through.
Tuesday we enjoyed a 6 hour tour of Manhattan. 5 full buses weaved all over the island and we saw so many interesting sites. Our guides were very knowledgeable and had a talent for catering their commentary to their audience. They were sure to point out where Beyonce lives and where Lady Gaga went to high school!
Today (Wednesday) we have a practice at the local YMCA and then we will enjoy a team Thanksgiving Dinner. Early bed after that! We have to get up at about 4:30 tomorrow morning to prepare for the parade!
Hello Stepper-ettes!
The parade will air on NBC from 9am-noon in all time zones. Our performance in front of the Macy's store will be between 11:15 and 11:45am.
The Stepper-ettes are very honored to have been invited to perform at the 2010 Championship Game of the United Football League! The game will be played at Rosenblatt Stadium and will be the very last event the stadium will host before it is torn down!
The game begins at 11:00am and will be broadcast on the VERSUS Network. Our performance will be pre-game so if you would like to see the girls, be sure to get to the stadium early!
The following aired on Sunday, November 7th on WOWT. A Piece of Nebraska in Macys Thanksgiving Parade
KETV also had a nice story on November 7th as well.
