read moreOn Saturday, October 9th, the Miss Omaha and Miss Omaha's Outstanding Teen Pageants were held. These pageants are preliminaries to Miss Nebraska and are a part of the Miss America Organization.
Stepper-ette members Aleah Peters and Laramy Overton participated in the Teen portion of the evening. Both girls looked fantastic on stage, and Aleah won the title of Miss Omaha's Outstanding Teen 2010! Aleah will go on to compete at Miss Nebraska's Outstanding Teen to be held in North Platte in June.
Rachel Foehlinger participated in the Miss portion of the pageant and was named first runner-up. She absolutely brought the house down with her twirling and dance routine to "Proud Mary" from Glee. Rachel plans to compete in Miss Lincoln in November.
A few younger Stepper-ettes also had the chance to be involved with the pageant production as "Little Sisters." Molly Bull, Clare Fiore, Marissa Messick, Alyson Riley, Kelsie Stott and Haley Tornquist did a wonderful job performing a dance on stage and presenting their "Big Sisters" with roses during the evening wear portion of the pageant. Stepper-ette instructor Jen Curtis was in charge of the Little Sisters for the pageant and she did a wonderful job!
It was so neat to see 9 Stepper-ettes participating in the Miss Omaha Pageant. Way to go ladies!
