Congratulations to Stepperette instructor and former team member Katie Dischler on her marriage to Mike Sullivan last weekend! You guys looked great!  The happy couple is planning to create their new home together in Omaha.

The Stepper-ettes National Team just returned from a very successful week at the Baton Twirling National Championships held at Notre Dame University.  The team won 6 National Championship titles in Pom, Halftime, and Twirling Corps!  The following routines brought home first place:

It was such an amazing week and all 140 members of the Stepper-ettes National Team did a great job!  Thank you to Bruce Fustos and Jeff Bane of Drawn by Light Photography for the amazing pictures!  

Thank you so much to all of the Stepper-ette students and parents who helped make our Region 10 and AYOP warm-up competition such a huge success!  It was the largest competition we have hosted to date and there is absolutely no way we would have been able to have it run as smoothly as it did without all of your help!  Here are a few pictures from the contest.   Thank you to Bruce Fustos...aka the Stepper-ettes very own paparazzi!

Thank you so much to all 175 Stepper-ettes who performed at the Omaha Beef game last weekend!  It was extra special to have so many new Stepper-ettes join us for this show!  The performance was awesome and the crowd really loved it!  Way to go!

On Sunday, April 8th in Neuchatal, Switzerland, the Stepper-ettes Senior Team won the gold at the 2012 World Baton Twirling Championships!  The silver was awarded to the Netherlands and bronze to the team from France.

The twirling corps competition was the very last to take place during the week-long world championships and the arena was full to capacity with spectators and twirlers from all over the world.  As the Stepper-ettes entered on to the competition floor, chants of "USA, USA, USA" rang through the air.  During their 7 minute "Alice" routine the energy from the girls was absolutely captivating and the crowed really responded to the performance.  As the last note of music played the crowed erupted into loud and enthusiastic cheers!

The wait for results was only an hour or so and while the team was very happy with their performance, they had heard that the teams from France and the Netherlands also had strong showings.  The closing ceremonies began and all of the awards were announced leaving our event for very last.  Finally the announcer's booming voice said "Third place...France, second place...Holland, first place...USA!"  The girls sprinted up to the podium and their faces were both full of smiles and tears of joy!

Thank you so much for all of the support our fellow Stepper-ettes and their families have shown us the past few months.  We are so proud to bring home the gold once again!

Thank you to our Junior Team for doing such a wonderful job at the Harlem Globetrotters game even though it was such short notice!  The performance was so much fun and the crowd really loved it!
