Stepper-ettes were featured in the Ralston Recorder on August 31, 2011. Trophies, medals, certificates, ribbons, international television coverage, national championships. This is a preliminary pageant within the Miss America Pageant Organization. Rachel electrified the audience with her fast paced twirling routine to "Man of La Mancha. She also competed in swimwear, onstage question, evening wear, and a 15 minute interview with the judges held earlier in the day. In the end Rachel did win the Miss Lincoln Title and will go on to compete at the Miss Nebraska Pageant in June!
Another VERY special awards was presented as well. Bob Foehlinger was awarded "Mr. Congeniality"!!!! Just a few hours before the pageant was to begin, the pageant director found herself with no music or microphone system. After one phone call, Bob packed up his audio system and sped down to Lincoln. He truly saved the show!
